Would you like to join our Creative Village?

Creative Village is a collective of local artists, makers and small creative businesses from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter region. We bring handmade products, original art and thoughtful gifts together in a welcoming retail space where customers can discover the people behind the work.

  • How it works

    Our Charlestown Square shop is a collaborative retail space. To help keep costs accessible, stay open 7 days a week and support each other as a collective, our makers help in-store with regular shifts.

    This means customers get to meet real makers, hear the stories behind the products and discover a beautiful mix of handmade pieces from our local creative community.

    Our Georgetown space is smaller and curated a little differently. We also occasionally offer short-term pop-up opportunities.

  • Who we’re looking for

    We're always excited to discover talented local makers and artists creating thoughtful, high-quality products with a handmade heart. Whether you create ceramics, jewellery, artwork, textiles, homewares, candles, skincare, children's products, paper goods, plants, DIY kits or something completely unique, we'd love to hear from you if your work complements the Creative Village collection.

    As a curated collective, we carefully consider every application to ensure a balanced mix of products and makers throughout the shop.
