Angie - Angie Parkes Mosaics

Angie Parkes is a mosaic artist with over 20 years of experience and a deep love for giving old materials a new life. She describes herself as a “mosaic tragic”  completely addicted to the colour, texture and storytelling that comes with the art form.

Her work often begins with preloved china and glass, where a maker’s mark, broken plate or forgotten piece can spark a whole new idea. Angie loves transforming what was once treasured in its original form into something completely different, beautiful and full of character.

At Creative Village Georgetown, you’ll find Angie’s mosaic artworks and one-of-a-kind pieces made from rescued china, glass and found treasures, each one full of colour, detail and a little bit of playful magic.
