Gemma is a mixed media illustrator turned potter; she aims to create art that can be enjoyed every day by bringing her illustrations into ceramics.
Illustration has always been a large part of Gemma's life, so when she found a love for ceramics, it only made sense that she would combine her two passions. Inspired by the functionality of ceramic wares, she aims to create charming pieces that have a purpose in your home.
Gemma brings texture and vibrancy to her illustrated work through the use of collage, creating warm and homely motifs that give an appreciation for everyday life. Her work consists of cheerful animals, seasonal scenes of nature, and themes of comfort and warmth.
